New cleaning attempt...

I am reading this new book (I am obsessed with books) that is called The Children You Want With The Kids You Have. It is an LDS book oriented on obviously raising kids to be hard working, responsible people. Well I am only on the second chapter and already have implemented the ideas into my home. It stated to get the children more excited, to get them thier own "cleaning tote" with their individual cleaning supplies. So I headed to the dollar store (love that place) and purchased each child thier own:

  • Basket with handles (tote)

  • Rubber Gloves

  • Dusting wand

  • Reusable/Washable rags

  • Scrubbing Sponge

Let me tell you, they were SOOO excited to get thier own supplies, they were ready to go before I could finish telling them about it. Here is a picture of Tianna and Tera's. Morgann and Carson have their own. All color coordinated.. hahaha. Morg = blue, Carson = green, Tianna = pink, Tera = purple. Ill keep you posted on how this works, and with other ideas from the book.

New toys...

I got a new vaccum today!! I had to order it online because bag vaccums are not sold in stores anymore?.. Well, I have returned to purchase this vaccum 3 times now. I love it. Last year I was a sucker and bought the Kirby Vaccum...It was supposed to be this magnificent, life long purchase.....was a piece of crap it has been. I have replaced the motor once and now it jumps in drive mode. The vaccum itself is to heavy to push without the drive option. So, needless to say, I went back to my old, trusted, reliable vaccum. It was delivered today, on my doorstep when I got home from work. I guess you should all know (my mom sure does) that when I get a "new toy" (anything power operated or cleaning gadget) I go crazy cleaning! My new vaccum inspired me to starts some spring cleaning! I even dusted my poor, dusty house plants! So, if you ever want help, just buy me a new "toy"! When I went up to my mom's new house, I cleaned that whole, entire, gigantic thing...well the floors anyway. I had to try out her new vaccum and mop plugged into a wall.. hehehe....

inspired by my mother....

I have decided to do a photo a day journal inspired by my mother. It is fascinating to me, simple, and quick. So, im back....lets see if I can follow through... hehe

This is the picture I came across that was the latest... Morgann completed the D.A.R.E. program at school. For graduation they had to write an essay. They picked out two students from each class that had the best essay. Of course, Morgann won! She is such an amazingly smart child. I am so proud of her!

Job Jar

My mom came down (awhile ago) when I was in despirate need to "tame" my children. When we was growing up, my mom had us do the job jar, and it was the funnest thing ever. So, my mom brought down the jar with stickers, and the spirit to do good for my kids. So, here is a couple of pictures of the kids doing the jobs. (I only got the twins. I guess they were cutter cleaning? Or maybe its because they were the only ones having fun) They loved it, for a moment. I guess that is why you have to mix things up and then re-introduce them later on.

The Jar!

Tera Lynn got "clean off table"

Look at Tianna Kaye go.

They were doing such a good job.
My mom told me I better update. This was awhile ago, but it was first on my list. Stay tunned...
